Suffolk County Council, working with partners, is currently in the process of gathering information to help plan a 'New Approach to ESOL' for the county.
We have designed a short questionnaire to gather information from partners about the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) provision currently available; the needs of communities and any gaps in provision that you might be are aware of.
Please provide as much information as possible as the information that you provide will go towards helping plan the 'New Approach to ESOL'. The aim is to improve ESOL provision in Suffolk for priority groups through, where p=
ossible, filling gaps in provision; aligning current provision and avoiding duplication.
I would like to thank you in advance for your responses. Please return the questionnaire to: chris.knott@suffolk.gov.uk by 16 October 2009.
Please pass the questionnaire onto anyone else who may be interested in responding.
A workshop event to gather further information to add to the research and to share ideas on the development of ESOL provision in Suffolk is currently being planned. Further information to follow.
If you would like to discuss, please come back to me.
