City and Guilds Introduction to Trainer Skills
Overview
Increasingly, we expect staff and volunteers to work more flexibly and some of the ways we do this is by providing informal learning opportunities to their teams or by presenting a business case for change to their peers. To achieve success, it is vital that staff/volunteers are equipped to do this properly and that you can show you support them in these tasks.
The City and Guilds Introduction to Trainer skills qualification aims to provide your staff with a sound introduction to the concepts of a systematic approach to presentation and training skills. It is an intensive course delivered over 2 days but still enables groups to practice and hone skills they will need in their own particular workplace.
This qualification provides a quick and practical way to improve the communication skills required within a rapidly changing environment and is key in raising the confidence in participants to see how they can have a wider involvement in the workplace. The Award provides candidates with an opportunity to work and train within a multi-disciplinary group, exploring and practising the key skills required to communicate effectively.
Candidates are required to plan and prepare a short presentation task and will therefore need to take some time outside of course hours to prepare. Candidates will take the City and Guilds multiple choice exam on Day Two of the course. Attendance on both days is therefore an essential requirement.
NB This course will not enable you to deliver Public Funded learning
